We had a great group of people for our Rally/BBQ on Sunday, August 16th.
As we were hanging out talking about some great roads for riding
in Canton, I said "Hey, I have an idea!" Then Kathy Mullen beat me to the
punch and said "Let's go!"
So, I said to the group, "Who wants to go for a ride?" All hands went up without hesitation.
En route many people honked and cheered us on, including motorcyclists! It was a really nice ride.
Our route...First we followed Memorial Dr.(a.k.a. Rt. 28) to Avon Center, where we went left onto W. High St.. W. High Street becomes Page St. and then York St., a nice, long, winding road, and under canopy of trees. Next, we turned left onto Randolph St. and right onto Rt. 138. for a short distance. Our next turn onto Hillside St., took us into Blue Hills Reservation, a very popular riding destination. We passed Houghton's Pond, and then veered right onto Chickataubut Rd which winds it's way back to Rt. 28.
At this point our group split up, as people headed home in different directions. Kathy, Carolyn and I headed back to Avon, all three of us on Aelous 260's of different colors.
A group shot before we hit the road.
Our scooters ranged in size from 49cc to 300cc.
Somebody needed gas. So, we made a quick stop at the Sunoco station. The woman attending the place was pretty surprised to have 9 scooters pull in all at once.
I grabbed a shot of the riders behind me when we stopped at a red light.
